This brand is an exploration.  It is imbued with the reverence of textile design.  Here we explore artistic processes and treatments of various high quality fabrics.  Using that as a starting point for creation of carefully crafted ready to wear clothing and accessories. 

Transparency in Production and Pricing

We live in era of constant change and dynamic shifts.  Business and fashion needs to reflect these changes and make progress forward.  It’s not enough to make minor adjustments just based in consumer trends and opinions or to push an image of progress for marketing purposes.  The core values and goals of a business need to reflect real progress and integrity and drive the way forward. 

These items are made and connect straight to you.  These pieces are not passed from designer to presentation to production and then to the retailer, everything is made in-house and shipped direct to you.  There’s no long lead times of designing to sales floor, which means prices are not marked up in each passing phase and overall less waste is created.

This brand does not believe in marking up items for the sake of obtaining the most profit or in order to represent a status symbol.  Nor does it believe in pricing items low and using cheap materials and exploiting human labor.  We hope to look forward and progress where true costs are transparent and quality, creativity, sustainability and human rights are never compromised.  These artistically made items are made with extreme care and true creative passion.  Wherever possible pricing is democratized so everyone has a chance to own, love, and wear an item made with high creative regard and quality with sustainable practices.  Some items may be priced higher because of a higher cost in materials or a more time intensive process, but they were never be marked up just for higher profit margins or to emulate status.  Pricing with integrity. 

This emerging brand holds the perspective that creativity, people, and the environment are integral core values.  These values will be upheld through action and transparency.    

The Designer

Irene Kim is the designer behind Reenie K.  Her love and experience in painting and textile design drives her ambition in creating this brand.  She is inspired by great design and exceptional crafting processes.  She is also fascinated equally by past textile making traditions as well as new advances in sustainable production technology.  She happily resides in Los Angeles, California.
